Writing On The Range

Penny’s Diner: Rawlins, Wyoming

From the windows of Penny’s Diner you can see Elk Mountain standing in front of the Snowy Range in the Medicine Bow National Forest. That view makes Penny’s a uniquely perfect place to grab a traditional breakfast at any hour of the day. Most people drive right through Rawlins as they make their way to other destinations along I-80. Those who take a moment to visit this wind swept railroad town get a glimpse of rugged western life in modern Wyoming. At Penny’s Diner there is always room for another Carhartt jacket on the hook by the front door.
